Announcing a More Productive EcoBoost Exhaust Manifold Repair:

PITTSBURGH — ProMAXX Tool has made another advancement to their line of exhaust manifold repair tools with the introduction of the Elizabeth II ProKit (PMXEII200PRO) capable of removing hardened titanium bolts commonly found in the Ford 3.5L EcoBoost.

Unlike other Ford engines, the 3.5L EcoBoost found in the Ford Transit is equipped with titanium alloy exhaust manifold mounting studs. In stock form, the titanium mounting studs tested to a Rockwell "C" table hardness of 29-32. However,under extreme heat from the turbo chargers and samples pulled from a recent ProMAXX assisted repair, they have found the stud's hardness under these conditions actually increased to over 50.

The new kit combines ProMAXX Tool’s precision engineered guide plates (commonly called drill templates or jigs) with high-grade platinum tooling that is capable of drilling through the hardened metal in broken bolts. This new Elizabeth II ProKit will allow technicians facing broken manifold bolts on Ford EcoBoost engines to make the repair in a fraction of the time they faced without the kit.
